Mikayla Smith is a 2022 alumnus from The King’s Academy. Her jazz singing career launched at last year’s Night of Jazz where she brought the house down with her rendition of I Ain’t Got Nothin’ but the Blues. Since then, Mikayla was selected as one of the top 40 vocalists from across the country to participate in the Songbook Academy. Later that same year, she was named the Young Artist Award Winner 2022-2023 from The Society for the Preservation of the Great American Songbook. Mikayla has worked alongside jazz legends like Michael Feinstein, John Pizzarelli, and Nicole Henry. She is currently a freshman at Palm Beach Atlantic majoring in Vocal Performance.
